Fall update, 2019
Friends,
Can you believe it’s already fall? Thanks to all of your generous support, this year has already been very productive. As we finalize our most recent farm project in Iquitos, Peru with our partners Help One Now, we are fueled and impassioned by the impact of this collaborative work. The safe home cares for and restores the physical, mental, and emotional health of young women that are survivors of an unthinkable past. We couldn’t be more impressed with Help One Now and the work they are doing with local leaders to liberate these survivors from brothels and prostitution rings, allowing them to find refuge and healing at the home. We are incredibly honored to support this work. By providing a reliable food source for their beloved residents they are nourished by a wide variety of vegetables and fish protein, and the safe home itself will be one step closer to financial self-sufficiency. What a privilege to make a lasting difference in the lives of these young survivors. Your generosity made this possible. Thank you.
In preparation for 2020, the requests for farms are greater than ever before. This is good news! Many more safe homes, orphanages, and villages are catching word about what we’re doing and requesting help through aqauponics farming. For this reason, we aim to multiply the number of farms we build next year, and in subsequent years. Currently we are sorting through a pile of farm applications, researching exciting new opportunities, and meeting with local leaders to find the best possible solutions for their communities. There is no shortage to the exciting work awaiting us! Please stay tuned for news announcing future projects.
In the meantime, we would like to remind you how essential you are to this organization. Without the collaboration of so many great individuals and companies, our work would not be possible. It’s through our unified efforts that we’re able to shoulder the weight of this work and help to bring change to broken parts of the world. We can’t thank you enough.
Here are a few effective ways your collaboration can make a difference:
