Helping Kenya’s Most Vulnerable

An Incredible Opportunity

We’re excited to announce that, in October, construction is planned for Fly Fishing Collaborative’s sixth and seventh Aquaponics Farms and we want you to be part of it! These two farms will be established outside Eldoret, Kenya—an area where Kenyan women and children are especially vulnerable to the evil schemes of traffickers due to poor economic stability and unmet needs for sufficient livelihoods. This is where collaboration becomes part of the equation. Together, through your support for aquaponics, we can make a lasting difference.

The first farm will be established at a new safe-home operated by our good friends from Remember Nhu, an anti trafficking organization operating 52 homes spanning 11 countries. We’re very excited to be on the front lines with Remember Nhu as they plan to expand their reach deep into Kenya. In collaboration with Open Arms International, Fly Fishing Collaborative will build the second farm. This organization has impacted the area for 14 years and has been operating on their current property since 2008. The site currently houses 116 children in their residential homes, as well as managing a feeding program, providing daily food for hundreds of kids residing in the slums outside of the city.

A sustainable food source for all of these children can help to change their reality from slavery to freedom. It’s our mission and our joy to do just that. Will you join our team?

Here are two ways you can help:

1. Come with us!

Trip dates are October 11th–25th and October 23rd–November 8th.

We need two teams of five to seven volunteers to come to Africa for two-week time-periods to get some of the heavy lifting done. A Fly Fishing tour will likely happen upon conclusion of the construction as well! This is a unique tradition we love to partake in on our trips.

2. Make a Tax Deductible Donation

If going on a trip isn’t a reality for you, perhaps a financial donation is. Each farm will cost roughly $10,000 in building materials, fish fingerlings, and produce starts. Once built we will be able to leave them with a fully operating small-scale eco-system.

None of what we do would be possible without your collaboration. Your part (whether big or small) is making the world a better place.

Thank you for all of your contributions,
