Friends, our hearts are exploding with gratitude!
Last Friday we celebrated our 5th Annual Banquet and Auction and are pleased to share that the night was a great success. In fact, it was the biggest fundraiser in FFC’s history.
Despite recent community health concerns, stock market trends, and the overall busyness of life, everyone showed up in support of creating sustainable solutions to poverty and human trafficking. We couldn’t be more pleased with how things went.
Together we are demonstrating that a community formed around a common goal is a powerful force—more powerful than we might realize. The more people we have on board, the greater impact we can make. You are helping to create ripples of positive and lasting change around the world and we can’t thank you enough.
We were all honored to have our friend and Peru’s aquaponics farm manager, Willie Mago, join us at the banquet and share his heartwarming story. He shared about his grandfather who grew up being trafficked and living in a pit of despair until someone came alongside him and helped him create a pathway to a better life. With that cycle of abuse broken, Willie is now the third generation in his family in Peru that is helping others out of poverty and human trafficking. He received a well-deserved standing ovation.
So FFC community, our goal for 2020 is to double the impact we are making by doubling the amount of farms we build, as well as doubling our support for local survivors. We are well on our way to accomplishing this goal of greater worldwide impact. Community collaboration is the backbone of FFC. We can’t do it without you. Thank you all for being on this mission with us.
Sincerely,
Bucky Buchstaber
